From its perch on the 7th floor of Kapila Matrix on Koregaon Park Annex, Mundhwa, Syrakko enjoys its classy popular reputation. The chef has taken great pains with the menu crafting a clever composition of recipes derived from Continental and even Indian cuisines. But this is not your average curry or grill house. Modern techniques are used to bring food to life. Unusual pairings stun you for a moment and then dazzle your palate with a burst of flavors. Their innovation extends into their bar menu as well. Try their signature cocktails. Nibble alongside on, smoked broccoli florets, malai prawn tartlet, peanut chutney stuffed Portobello and gilafi scotch eggs. Excite your palate further with, pan Asian ravioli, bater nargisi kofta, stuffed chicken roulade, pork vindaloo, blue cheese & spinach tagliatelle and bharli vangi.
Don’t walk away without trying out their dessert course. You are bound to be impressed with, dark chocolate fondant with raspberry caviar, espresso phirni, pumpkin payasam ice cream, paan panna cotta, white chocolate & wasabi parfait, salted chocolate mousse and cashew cake with dark chocolate & peanut butter ganache. Service is smooth and cordial, a bonus. Sophistication of the menu flows into the atmosphere where it’s served. Décor is stylish and elegant. Dark earthy tones are used to create the space, adding to it edgy modern elements to give it definition. A large table with cup-shaped sofa is placed a little aside for those who are looking for privacy. All that culinary brilliance is entitled to a hefty bill, which you find out, you don’t mind paying.
- The dessert section is full of exquisite options, be it the invigorating paan pannacotta served with fruit coulis and raspberry peals for a fruity punch, the multi-textured salted chocolate mousse drenched in Malibu sauce on an angel’s sponge, the ‘espresso phirni’ or the white chocolate and wasabi (!) parfait
- Here it is as much kudos to the mixologist as to the chef, for the former whips drinks such as ‘president’s residence’ which blends vodka with hazelnut, apple, lime juice and star anise, or even an jalapeño pineapple margarita!
- Service is exceedingly polite which makes the overall dining experience very satisfying
