There is often times when you need a moment of peace and tranquillity away from the loud sounds and bold trendy in-your-face restaurants. You need a place where you can talk and listen without raising your voice and relax in the serene environment with your friends or family. And if this place happens to be in a smart and beautiful hotel then all the better. ‘Fuzion’ is answer to all your prayers. This wonderful establishment is part of Novotel Hotel in Viman Nagar which falls in close proximity to the Pune airport. Fuzion is a classy and edgy place designed for passing travellers and local families. Sheer spaciousness of the room is another plus which is further accentuated by the presence of large picture windows bringing the outdoor in. Comfy leather chairs are put together invitingly awaiting their occupants to come and recline in them. The vibe is earthy, masculine and buzzing with activity.
Fuzion is a popular place busting with never ending footfall. The passerby in-house guests, local families, foodies and regulars keep the staff well occupied but in no way you will feel conflicted or suffocated. The menu of Fuzion is encompassing featuring Mediterranean, continental and European offerings but the focus remains on the North-Indian cuisine. The food of Northern India gets the most attention here and is prepared beautifully by the chef. Appetizers will help you start your evening with lovely, stuffed crispy shells, hare masala ka bhuna paneer, pizzettas, green market apple & potato chaat, aloo tuk, the farmers house sizzler, duo of sesame crusted Scottish salmon, gilafi seekh kebab, chicken shawarma, filo cup, dhungar mirch ka murgh, spicy thai lamb patties, karavali chicken, sizzling prawns, chilled blender gazpacho, mezze platter, marinated olives, chef’s wok and bruschetta with eggplant and feta.
The restaurant has a pretty great bar menu all stocked with wines, aperitif, whisky, vodka, gin, rum, cachaça, tequila, cognac/brandy, digestive, alcopops, beers, liqueurs and cocktails. The appetizer section will compliment the drinks perfectly so choose your poison to go with your first course. As your second course Fuzion serves teppanyaki rice with tempura fish & hot garlic, pappardelle al vegeteriana, badam gosht kaliyan, paneer achari korma and roasted peanut & lemon grass chicken. Finish with a bailey’s cheese cake or sonar thal. Even if you have to pay a hefty bill here the experience at Fuzion is completely satisfying and enlighting.
- They also serve Indian fare, although I would vouch for their continental, European, and Mediterranean offerings
- The staff is exceptionally polite and welcoming – kudos for that
- There is Wi-Fi and valet parking – little joys that make all the difference
