About The White Owl - Brewery & Bistro, Lower Parel, South Mumbai
Mumbai’s night scene has become more and more attractive with each passing day, welcoming in its fold an influx of trendy pubs and bars that are bound to amaze us with their delights. Gone are the days when watering holes meant few sturdy tables, a jukebox and a bar with some beers on tap, now the bar scene has become quite sophisticated. Patrons have come to expect live entertainment and swanky furnishings as part of the deal, bringing with them cultures from all over the world with their travels. The recent addition to the nightlife of the city is ‘The White Owl – Brewery & Bistro’, a stylish edgy place with a small in-house brewery. The bar is a little difficult to find as it is located in Indiabulls building in Lower Parel but when you do, it will be worth the headache.
The White Owl is a trendy popular bar with its own in-house brewery attached to it so for beer lovers this place is a haven. Be ready to drink and unwind over good live music and a plethora of fresh brews. Even if you don’t feel like drinking do take time to ponder over their menu which lets you explore the delicious side of European cuisine. Start with, beer-braised chicken tostadas, chef’s gourmet popcorn, house lavash, minced lamb arancini, jerk chicken skewers, verdure flatbread, slow-roasted chicken buns, leek & mushroom hash, gourmet potato gratin, house beer battered fish n chips and jalapeno & cheese poppers. Fill up on, gourmet lamb burger, mixed vegetable enchiladas, spaghetti & lamb meatballs, artisanal cottage cheese panini, potato & parsley crepes, basil infused grilled chicken and pan-seared red snapper.
They even do a wonderful brunch menu, ideal for a group of sun-loving friends. Exit on a sweet note with The White Owl’s desserts like, house chocolate flan, craft beer popsicle, white chocolate crème brulee, dark chocolate fondant, grilled apple & pear crumble, Chef’s baked cheesecake and caramelized banana & toffee tart. The White Owl stands apart from its wooden-toned bar counterparts by choosing to keep its interiors dark and ebony-toned. The only colour relief in the room comes by a gleaming bright yellow bar countertop, which is the focal point of the room. Sit near their brewery plant and sip on your beer to fully get into the mood. The White Owl is not cheap but it’s so worth it.
