Sammy Sosa used to be the sole Mexican serving joint in Mumbai but now it’s menu has expanded to include Italian, Continental besides a vast range of Mexican dishes. A full-fledged bar menu accompanies the grub. Sammy Sosa has a good collection of beers. They import beers from all over the world, a huge point in their favor. Good way to start is through the appetizers. Chacho nachos, Sammy’s tostada, Mexi skin, quesadilla, crispy prawns, fish fingers, Turkish fish kebabs, chimichangas, mango tequila pez, whacko tacos and Godzilla garlic. Compose main course of, pickle tickle sandwich, cognac pepper fish, Santa Fe chicken, Leonardo’s tortellini, baja bowl, burrito mania, deep sea dive, taco bowl, super trouper lamb, mama sita chika, Moroccan fill sandwich, the Carribean lamb stew and grandma’s lasagna.
Opt for another mojito or a oreo shake to wash the food down. Wrap up the evening with a dessert of your choice. Belgian chocolate, the cheese cake factory, chocolate mud pie, choco lava and apple pie would work wonderfully. Ask your server for the chef’s special for the day. There is a separate area for smokers. If you are with a group of friends then order Sammy’s Tostadas to munch with beers. Prices are a tad high. At first glance Sammy Sosa comes across as a small drinking joint but then you start to notice how they have used the compact space so well. Bright orange walls, striking wall art and foot-tapping music instantly sets the mood. This two-level bar is a great option for a fun night out with friends.
