The décor of Salt Water Café is simplicity itself. They have taken a wide open space and given it a subtle likeable appearance. As you step inside, your eyes will meet a well-lit room done completely in wood, from the panelled glass window wall to matted windows at the back, the entire room carries a strong influence of wooden tones. The ceiling itself is a network of polished beams bearing the weight of modern lamps that hangs from the rafters. Glass windows cover the room from all sides so in day time the restaurant is flooded by soft golden light, making the room all the more airy. Furniture comprises of sturdy wooden tables and booths where you can linger for hours comfortably. Salt Water Café is casual, earthy, laid back and good-looking.
The café open its doors in early hours of the morning, inviting their patrons for a lavish breakfast before heading for work. The menu is a combination of Italian and European, offered for a mediocre price. They organise many fun food events to keep their grip on the patrons even some nice deals on booze. You can have a nice brunch of burgers, soup and sandwiches and if you are visiting in the evening then it’s recommended to start with few appetizers. Wasabi grilled cottage cheese, spicy chicken wings, poha crusted prawns and chicken liver pate is amazing and so is, seared basa, baked vegetable lasagne, pan seared John Dory, sun dried tomato spaghetti and lamb stew. Salt Water Café is not that expensive too.
