About India Jones, Trident, Nariman Point

We have a lot to be proud of. Our gastronomy palette has become quite globally advanced, decked up with some of the most exotic cuisines picked from all over the world. One can go as fancy or as humble as they want when dining out in the city and practically every cuisine is presented in a unique fresh manner. If happen to be in Mumbai and have an intense craving for some Asian food then without giving further thought book a table at ‘India Jones’ right away. The restaurant is counted amongst the top dining destinations in the city when it comes to soulful Asian cuisine. It is part of gorgeous Trident Hotel, presiding at Nariman Point, basking in the joy of having most important locations in Mumbai.

India Jones is a tribute to Indian traveller Bharat Joyent (a.k.a India Jones) and his travels so it’s not much of surprise that the menu travels a bit too, handpicking dishes from Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Japan. Their Korean set lunch menu is one of their popular attractions with the businessmen, often seen power lunching at the same time. Begin your journey with appetizers like, golden fried prawns, edamame, zha xia giu, som tom salad, Malaysian satay, nonya dumpling, yakitori, tom yam gung, Singapore style popiah, crisp corn kernels, Sichuan silken tofu, naumai flang le pikthai and chicken teriyaki. You can even select your catch from their live fish tank and have them prepare it the way you want. Their selection of main course is fabulous, Beijing ya, penang curry, spicy nonya prawns, tangra chicken, homok phak, sambal udang, traditional grilled lobster and wok fried Kerala crab.

In desserts make do with baked Alaska cake and we assure you, you won’t be disappointed. As you step across the threshold, you will find India Jones to be a pleasing and classy sight, created entirely out of wooden textures. The look is contemporary and edgy. Formal tables are added for proper sit-down dining. In way of décor you will find the walls papered with Japanese symbols, which goes a long way into re-emphasising the Asian theme. Don’t mistake, India Jones is an expensive place but if you want authenticity and class then there is no place better. The overall look is elegant, exotic and quite global.
