The understated elegance of the restaurant beckoned Mumbaikers and once they tasted the food, there was no other place for them.
Hakkasan is a popular restaurant of international repute. It’s known for its modern Cantonese offerings and gives its patrons an excellent meal made of high quality ingredients. Other than the a la carte menu, the restaurant’s set menu gained instant popularity with the gourmets. It allowed them to sample little bit of everything without squandering too much time, of which they are always in short of. The chef is a master of his craft. You will agree with that too after having just one bite. The bill will be quite hefty, be prepared for that. Make your first course of, wild mushroom & vegetable wrap, fried soft shell crab, crispy duck salad and grilled vegetable shanghai dumplings. After whetting your appetite with starters move along to, wok-fried lobster in XO sauce, mabo tofu, hakka braised pork belly, chilli prawns with mantao and peking duck with ossetra caviar.
Wash it all down with one of their unique refreshing cocktails. The place is highly sought after, book ahead. In desserts, mousse cake, cinnamon-pineapple ice cream, chocolate cheese cake and choco bomb will do very nicely. Finish with a pot of gourmet Chinese tea. It’s highly recommended. Similar to the menu, Hakkasan’s décor reflects the same sleek modern element. Interiors are very swish and mostly comprising of wooden finishes but the addition of electric blue LED lights in bar lifts up the entire scene. Have a few drinks at the glowing bar before moving onto the main dining table. A private dining room is up for grabs for those looking for a bit of seclusion. A contemporary glamourous space.
