About Cream Centre, Oberoi Mall, Goregaon East
Whenever I ask myself the question, what is so great about a vegetarian restaurant, I always end up answerless. Being a carnivorous, this has always been an ongoing debate with me. When I went to Mumbai recently, I of course came upon a string of their famous ‘Cream Centre’ restaurants, a very well-known chain of veggie restaurants in Mumbai. I had to then indulge to my whim, just for the sake of debate, into this renowned odyssey to get an idea about all the fuss it has made over the years. Cream Centre is to the veggie lovers in Mumbai a mecca of comfort dining. The restaurant has outlets all over Mumbai, including the one in Oberoi Mall, Goregaon East. Well, my verdict is – go for it! Cream Centre is ideal if you want to take a break from your meaty staples.
Cream Centre specializes in pure vegetarian cuisine from around the world. Expect to see the vegetarian versions of North Indian, Mexican and Italian cuisines on the menu. People swears by its food and service. If you’re a Jain, specify your server and any dishes you choose will be made Jain-friendly. Beginning with starters is a good idea. You can nibble on, khau gali vada, tandoori subz wontons, corn nachos jalapeno khari, original tandoori paneer tikka, sev batata puri, bambaiya ragda, Italian herbed chilli cheese toast, masala pani puri, asli makhan pav bhaji, onion rings and nachos with Mexican beans. Follow the appetizers with yummy mains such as, chef’s original special sizzler, dum matka peshawari subz, Punjabi masala khichdi, penne al forno, half & half pizza and dum aloo benarasi.
Finish your meal with a malai kulfi or sizzling brownie fundae. Coming to the interiors, each of the outlet is designed in a modern and tasteful way. Spacious fine dining rooms are created for families to sit in comfortably. Elegant looking chairs and comfy couches are included so a large party of twelve can be seated easily. Décor is classy and contemporary. Nothing loud in design or colours are used rather everything is kept simple and subtle. Staff is another of their strengths. They provide a good and smooth service by being always at your beck and call. Dining at Cream Centre is surprisingly not expensive. Like me Cream Centre may have made a fan out of you.
