Cafe Panama is a laid-back and refreshing tropical all-day space. Founded by Sohel Lalvani and Shaan Gidwani with operations managed by Ketan Thakkar and Joy Jose, Cafe Panama is the newest entrant to the Todi-Mathuradas mill compound. This gorgeous 4000 square foot space aspires to be more than just a restaurant, but rather a conduit that connects people, cultures and traditions and aims to bring Contemporary cuisine with a twist of Latin American warmth and energy.
The interior design has been done by a creative and passionate team using a ‘Palm beach’ inspiration. Furniture that is a mix of modern and traditional , gilded details and luxurious fabrics; an amalgamation that can be perfectly coined as “Tropical Glam”. It is a perfect combination of comfort, ease and utility whilst being eclectic and striking. The style is characterized by warm and soothing colours drawn mostly from natural elements such as the sea, sky and forest. Think of hues that are deep, rich and earthy.

The menu starts off with great options in soups and salads like the Ajoblanco (Cold soup with Almonds and Grapes) and Sopa de Champinones (Mushroom and kale) folowed by the small plates and Sourdough Sandwiches wherein the standout dishes are the Yuca Fries, Corn Tamales, Shrimp Skillet and Soft shell crab.
It then takes you on a journey of southern america in its Soft shelled Tacos and Argentinian Flatbreads where the must trys are the Tofu Pineapple kimchi and Pork Al Pastor tacos as well as the Wild Mushroom and Chimichurri Flatbread and the Jerk Chicken Flatbread
They say, life is a combination of magic and pasta and we add some magic to our hand-rolled pastas like Homemade Maltagliati with Portobello and Porcini mushroom or the Johnny Mazzetti Pasta with Tomato and Eggplant
We believe everyone deserves a good dessert. The Cafe Panama dessert menu features one of the current trend of Biscoff desserts ( Biscoff Cheesecake) as well as classics like a Rich chocolate mousse and the Tiramisu.
The cocktail menu takes you in to a whimsical world of concoctions like The Panama made using tequila, infused with hints of spice; Luna a fresh explosion of tequila, triple sec, cucumber and cilantro shaken with egg white; Del Toro a twist on the classic Moscow mule with a hybrid in house beer syrup balanced with a sweet and sour combination and a hint of spice or the Eva, which perfectly marries sweet and sour flavours, has buttery notes with hints of pickled cherry.
