Be it tipplers or the foodies, everyone finds Mumbai a spectacular place to be when it comes to hot nightlife or exquisite mouth-watering food. The city keeps its spirit alive through several funky eateries and interesting pubs, all vastly different from each other and attractive in their own right. Foodies like us likes a bit of variety when it comes to our meals and prefer to have it all under one roof, so it’s the multi-cuisine restaurants that comes to our aid. There has been one restaurant on our radar for ages which we explored recently and loved it. It’s called ‘Bombay Vintage’ due to its eccentric regional interiors and a menu that captures the true diverse spirit of Mumbai. Its location is utterly prime, just opposite to Regal Cinema in Colaba.

Just like the city on which it’s themed on, Bombay Vintage offers a splendid eclectic menu that targets several cuisines at the same time. You can have your fill from North Indian to Italian to Continental to Asian, and delight in the tremendous variety at your beck and call. Bombay Vintage is quite affordable too. Within 1200/- bucks one can feast generously along with a friend. Although the restaurant has quite an extensive bar menu that encompasses a lot of varied booze types, order from their signature cocktails as a start. Accompany that with a spread of tasty appetizers like, basil poha croquettes, shredded chicken teppanyaki, vada pav sliders, prawn stuffed bombil rolls, sautéed mushrooms, fish & chips and kheema baida roti. Mains is a heady selection of, malwani curry, mutton misal, pizzas, pasta, herb grilled rawas, chateaubriand steak and Korean curry.

The presentation is taken care with. Serving of food in tiffin carriers are a stroke of innovation. If you don’t feel like drinking then stick with hot chocolate or masala tea. In sweets you won’t be disappointed. Pick anything between chocolate fondant, jaggery pudding, kulfi, chocolate walnut brownie and coconut jaggery crepes. The décor of Bombay Vintage is very much like the restaurant itself – eclectic. It’s a mix and match of different looks working together in harmony. Downstairs section is where the bar is in all its glory but it’s the upstairs section that receives the attention of the patrons. It’s spacious and much more comfortable. Walls are covered with vintage wall clocks and sepia photographs of the city. The look is charming, casual and playful.
