There are few places in Goa that has the capacity to stun your taste buds. Amongst the seafood shacks and your fun bars, there resides handful of wonderful restaurants, which has become the very epitome of creativity and gastronomic excellence. If you desire for something outstanding this holiday while in Goa, we suggest you make way for the town’s favourite dining destination ‘Cavatina Cuchina’ in Salcette. Run by an avid foodie couple Avinash and Tiz Martins, this lovely serene eatery instantly grabs your culinary imagination with its superb menu. Keep an eye out for this place en route to Taj Exotica and we promise you, you will not be disappointed. This local haunt is filled up really quickly so it will be wiser to book ahead with them. Your search for a gastronomic haven comes to an end with Cavatina Cuchina.
The restaurant believes in dabbling in different cuisines at the same time, which is why their menu is quite eclectic and varied. From desi North Indian to Italian to Thai and Chinese, everything popular is targeted here. The owners have paid a lot of attention to their menu and have made it a point to be striking with it. They do serve alcohol, call for that Feni or a nice bottle of merlot to complement your meal. We really like two things about the menu. First, the wellness section, which comes with several delicious healthy dishes and second, the page dedicated to glossary terms so you know what you are eating. Start with, pork gyoza, tenderloin carpaccio, horiatiki, lobster bisque and ahi tuna & salmon sashimi. Follow that with mains like, del mar fettuccini, Moroccan kibbeh and Tia Bella’s seafood paella.
Menu is pretty extensive. You won’t run out of options. We suggest you go in with an appetite, this is that kind of place. The chef runs with the dessert section and brings in some local flavour as well. Pick up that fork and dig into, banoffee pie, sobremesas, choco lava cake, sundae, baked blueberry cheesecake and seradura. This surprising delightful find in Goa comes with a lovely ambience to go with their excellent multi-cuisine menu. The indoor seating area is pleasantly furnished in soft beige tone with several large windows pouring in the abundant Goan sunshine. For a romantic relaxing time, ask to be seated in their tranquil outdoor section where you can dine with sand beneath your feet and palms over your head. Cavatina is not too expensive either.
