The restaurant is the brainchild of Ashish Dev Kapur and Chef Sarah Todd and works beautifully with the natural splendor of Goa. Its menu, which is mainly Australian boasts mostly of excellent seafood preparations and is paired off by equally fantastic bar spread. The chef brings her culinary sophistication to every part of the menu. Without being snobbish, the menu exudes a sense of warmth and originality. With Antares Pani Puri tackle the appetizers like, beef skewers, cabbage & coconut chutney bao, glazed bbq pork ribs, field mushroom tacos, kingfish croquettes and chicken cafreal bao. Large plates boasts of, mussel hot pot, pumpkin & tofu red curry, roasted quail, prosciutto pizza, beef stroganoff and rawas grilled in a banana leaf.
Food is inventive and screams culinary finesse. Unusual combinations used in throughout the menu surprises you and tempts you to try them. Kids get their own special menu. For desserts Chef Todd whips up her famous Masterchef iced nougat, petit gateau with whisky sauce, deconstructed banofee pie, dark chocolate brownie with butterscotch ice-cream and rosemary pannacotta with rose & green tea raspberry granite. Antares organizes live music nights every Thursday. Antares is given the look of a glamourized beach shed through bamboo roof, jute lanterns, fine cane furniture, moorahs and barrels.
