As we enter the second month of a new year many restaurants have opened shop to wow the people of Ahmedabad. It is the beginning of the year and you will find different kinds of eateries which will cater to different types of customers, for the youth who like their fast food, the non-vegetarian cafes.

List of new restaurants in Ahmedabad

Hashtag Barbeque, Chandkheda

This is a vegetarian restaurant serving North Indian, Chinese and Italian food. It is open for lunch and dinner and is located in Chandkheda. It is on the first floor, close to Vishwakarma Engineering College. The interiors here are done up colourfully in Olive Green, Burnt Orange and Turquoise Blue colours. Try the Naanza here. It is a pizza with a naan base

Wave, DoubleTree by Hilton

This is all day café which has opened recently. It serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. This cafe is part of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. Here you can get fast food and North Indian cuisine. This eatery has a fabulous view of the outdoors from the tall glass windows. Try the Jamaican Jerk Burger, it comes in Vegetarian and Chicken versions.

The Hunger Theory, Thaltej

This café is located in the Gurukul area. It serves North Indian cuisine and is open from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. The interiors have got a quirky touch with an old fashioned cycle hanging on one of the walls. Try the Paneer Schewan Roll or the Mutton Biryani here.

This vegetarian restaurant is located behind Iscon Mall and is open for lunch and dinner. Govinda’s serves North Indian, Italian and Chinese cuisines. Try some innovative dishes here like the Sev Tomato Soup which is inspired by the popular Gujarati Sev Tomato vegetable. The restaurant is beautifully made with small wooden and glass cottage style architecture with well-laid landscaping. Just awesome ambience.

This café is open from 09:00 am to 02:00 am in the wee hours of the night. It is located in Bodakdev and serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, predominantly fast food and beverages. This café also has outdoor seating and a small interior seating space. They serve lots of different types of vegetarian and non-vegetarian types of French Fries. Try the Cheese Chipotle Fries or you can also order Tandoori Chicken Fries.
