Roses and chocolates will be sold in millions but the real deal is to go beyond these and make your celebrations a bit more personal. The Hong Kong Club 

Modern Cantonese cuisine, signature cocktails inspired by Chinese zodiac signs and live entertainment will give you company on Valentine’s Day at The Hong Kong Club. A five-course set menu conjured up by Chef Yu Fuhai, featuring traditional recipes will come your way along with signature cocktails crafted by the restaurant’s vivacious bartender Agnieszka Rozenska.

Olive Qutub

One of the hippest dining digs of the capital is laying out the red carpet for true blue romantics with a Truffle and Caviar menu. However, a la carte option will also be available. The Truffle and Caviar menu will feature complimentary Amuse Bouche and Petit Four based on the V-day theme. Inventive entrees in this menu include dishes such as Portobello Mushroom, Shepard’s Pie-inspired Baked Portobello Mushroom Heads served with Roasted Celeriac Stew. In addition, there will be a special cocktail and wine menu for a heady buzz. There are other bells and whistles too. Something called the letterbox of love has been planned to make things more interesting. Patrons will have the option of choosing postcards from the restaurant’s stack of romantic destinations and post them in its letterbox of love, especially set up for V-day. They can even send online destination postcards, meant for their loved ones to the restaurant. Olive will subsequently send these love missives to their valentines. There are several other initiatives, including live music during the day and evening, to make the occasion memorable.

Nibble on Pan-Asian delicacies with your heartthrob at Miss Nora. A special menu has been crafted to mark the day of love, featuring amorously named dishes like Love Bird Soup, Flirty Citrus Salad, Valentine Sushi, Crispy Love Niblets and more.

Your sweetheart will be pampered silly at this popular Japanese eatery with a special Valentine’s Day menu featuring dainty nibbles like the Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tsukune (Homemade Japanese style of minced chicken sausage, wrapped in bacon with orange tare glaze) and Creamy Mushroom Coquettes (Mushroom and cheese croquettes, served with sriracha mayo and Japanese Worcestershire sauce). Vegetarian and non-vegetarian main courses include Baked Avocado (Baked Plump Avocado Stuffed with Curried Vegetables and Seasonal Greens) and Scottish Salmon Steak (grilled farm-fresh Scottish salmon; served with winter greens, spicy daikon oroshi radish, and soy-lemon butter).

Live music will be part of the sweet deal, while patrons will be encouraged to tie love notes on the frangipani tree in the restaurant courtyard. Not surprisingly, the best message will win a set lunch for two.
