The combination helps protect heart health. Riboflavin is good for red blood cells. Niacin is good for the digestive system and for maintaining healthy skin.

Q. Should I Remove mushroom stems?

Ans. It’s totally up to you. But from the cooking point of you, both the cap and the stem of a white button mushroom are edible. Before cooking, just trim off the very end of the stem. Because button mushrooms contain so much moisture, it's best to store them in the fridge covered by a damp cloth, rather than in a plastic bag.

Q. How do you know if the mushroom has gone bad?

Ans. You can usually tell by feeling if your mushrooms have gone bad as they develop a sticky/slimy surface and get darker in color. Once this starts, it quickly destroys them. Once you begin to feel a slime on the mushroom, cook them quickly to extend their shelf life for a few more days
