Chopsticks out – Kofuku is your here serving the best Japanese food!

As soon as you enter this well-known Japanese eatery in the city, you feel a sense of comfort. This place has wooden tables, along with a separate traditional Japanese-style low seating with tatami mats and even a Sake bar, Kofuku for sure has a lot to offer!

Where does one begin? If you are at Kofuku, then it’s good to start with the tempura, served with a sauce of wasabi, scallions and soy. A Nigiri platter can be the next thing one can have, with salmon, prawns and egg nigiri and pickled ginger, wasabi and soy on the side.

Kofuku in Bandra does a wonderful job in making authentic Japanese food, and they extend their way to vegetarian food too. Here they serve four types of sushis – Nigiri, Timaki, Uramaki and Saki. Out of which Nigiri is sushi with two ingredients – a bed of rice and vegetables, two of them are served in a portion.

If you are ever going to this place in a large group, make sure you get yourself the sushi platter which has18 pieces, and if you’re into salads, try their Tuna Sashimi.

Maki is what they do at it’s best here – proper sushi rolls cut into eight pieces. The most recommended ones are the Super Crunchy Rolls, Special Vegetarian Rolls and California rolls.

The salmon carpaccio is another thing you should try, that is served with pieces of jalapeno to add that extra hot burst of flavour. One of their signature dishes is the Oh My God sushi, this is a flaming sushi roll which can make you forget everything around you when you take the first bite. We have also heard the salmon sushi platter here is a huge hit, and so is the Yaki Shiitake.

Do not miss to notice the simple but authentic ambience, and do try the green tea pudding - a dessert that has fruits and mango sauce on green tea ice cream, and fried ice-cream.
