Right from fusion food to regular nibbles, these cafes and restaurants of Hitech City are sure to delight the foodie in you. So, let’s get the plans with your friends and family rolling!
Biryani
An Old City favourite is the biryani at Hotel Shadab, Ghansi Bazar. Their biryani has remained consistent over the years and their mutton one is the best. They also serve a vast spread of Hyderabadi dishes during their breakfast consisting of paya, nihari, bheja fry, palak gurdha and Munshi Naan.
Maa Ooru Biryani in Kukatpally is doing tremendous work in the way they are serving biryani. The food here is served on fresh banana leaves and the cutlery is also made from leaves, which gives the place a rural atmosphere and ambience. The Chicken Donne Biryani served here is one of the best donne biryanis available in Hyderabad. They cook the biryani slowly with Jeera Sambha Rice, mint, and a whole lot of spices. Also, there's more than just biryani here so don't just take our word for it.

Irani Chai
A visit to Hyderabad is incomplete without having an Irani chai at Nimrah Café. The Café over the years has seen the classic shots of people posing with their cup with Charminar in the background. This is one of the most iconic thing to do. One of the favourite pastime of the city is sipping on cups of Irani chai and also dunking an Osmania biscuit in them. Nimrah Café also makes amazing khara tea biscuit.

One must visit here any time post 9 pm, and you’ll find it super crowded. Hustlers are always crowding in this food street with food more than enough on one’s plate. Go and get dragged into stalls with dishes like shawarma, french fries, rice bowls, and more. Being one of the oldest restaurants in Hyderabad, Ohri’s Gufaa is a cave-themed place with dim lighting, and waiters here are dressed in a hunter’s outfit. If you’ve ever thought what it feels like dining in a cave, like in the Stone Age, head to this place in Basheer Bagh and go back to the times when tribal painted stone walls and lived in jungles. The seating here is made from bamboo, and you can also find wall hangings of tribal people on the walls, the lighting is soothing and just enough for you to know what you’re eating. This place play 90s music that brings about a certain air of nostalgia. Do not forget to order Dudhiya Kabab, Patthar Ke Gosht, Mutanjan Biryani, and Biryani Gufaa Khas.

As you move ahead, you will also see a flea market with apparel, jewellery, chappal, etc. If you are in the mood for waffles, pasta, this shack has a little something for every food lover. But I would totally recommend the Spicy Goan Wings, which are juicy and finger-licking good. Also, you cannot miss out on the Goan thalis like Goan Fish Thali which comes with Fish Rawa Fry, Goan Fish Curry, and steam rice.
