Where to head for that steaming cuppa

And rains are here, what is more exciting than your favorite cup of steaming hot chai with little knick knacks? Delhi boasts of amazing places where you can enjoy the evergreen chai, but let’s chalk out our favorites!

Cha Bar

Located in the Oxford bookstore in Connaught Place, this place boasts of a large variety of teas. Not a very large place in terms of seating, but the precise menu and cheap prices make up for everything! Choose from a range of single estate Assam teas, Darjeeling teas, Nilgiri and too many more, or stick to the basic masala chai. They also do impressive decaf and diet teas, and if you want to cool down in that heat, try the iced teas! What is more, the very basic menu has the perfect snacks like sandwiches, wraps and samosas that go down well with that cup.

JP Tea Stall

So if you happen to be in North Campus, we suggest you give this humble place a visit. Located in the Delhi School of Economics, college goers flock to this place in search of that perfect cup. It is always crowded, the chai here is divine and a boon on a cold winter morning. They also do simple sandwiches, patties and muffins, and a lemon tea to die for! Definitely the place to be.

Teasta

Noida walas swear by Teasta, because it is that impressive. This place has been the highlight for years in Sector 37, and it is the adda for youngsters. In summers, their iced teas are an absolute hit for they don’t use powder but make it from scratch. What’s more, you can also buy your favorite tea leaves from here! Oh and did we tell you, the Green tea is an absolute must have here. Enjoy that chai with grilled sandwiches and momos, and you’re good to go.

Chai Point

Epicuria, Nehru Place is where that hunt ends! Choose a small or a large cup, and you’re not likely to get disappointed. These people completely live up to the expectation of affordable tea, the masala chai is just spot on. Also choose from a wide range of ice chais, the apple flavour indeed is impressive. We also like the concept of flasks here, since it serves the purpose for a lot of people together. Way to go!

Aap Ki Pasand

This old-world English-style tea lounge, which also happens to be Delhi’s first tea parlour, was launched by the master of tea tasting – Sanjay Kapur. Visit this place in Daryaganj and you’re likely to love their classic and premium flavours, and they also have another store called Sancha tea boutique, where you can take home a brilliant assortment of teas. Choose your favourite!
