A Winning Combination of an Upscale Cinema and Dining!!

In a city where bigger is better, the lavish Director’s cut by PVR at Vasant Kunj syndicates style and substance to take the idea of cinema watching to another level. With the Cinema’s lustrous interior soaked in ‘contemporary film based art’ design – using a palette of rich burgundy, gold, carmine and a sparkling Ochre, stylish distinct lamps sitting on a console behind each seat, the busy lounge with its café area, gives a clue of its popularity.

The Movie Experience

As I walk in to purchase my ticket, a whiff of Popcorn wafting through the lounge evokes the senses. Without much ado, I slip into my fully reclining chair which turns into a kind of comfy bed, on the press of a button just like an aeroplane business class seat. A steward is a service button away and I at once adjust to the plush surrounding ordering Japa Dogs and Coffee from the delectable Simply Sushi's Menu and relishing the 2K digital projection and the finest surround system; life’s glamorous pleasures!

L’Opera

Elegantly designed, this Salon de thé has asserted itself as a go-to place for delicious gateaux, airy croissants and vibrant macarons at this location. One bite of the Apricot Caramel has me hooked. The Chocolate Éclair and delicately layered Mille-Feuille invoke images of Lyon. A good idea is to enjoy an afternoon tea set replete with the Charlie post your movie.

Simply Sushi

Creating a unique experience, Simply Sushi connects and infuses the food and service with its floral design, feel and influence. The star of the show is the 'Show Kitchen' that sets the stage upon which the talented Chef Yutaka Saito creates authentic Japanese delights. This new kid on the block sure does pay tribute to the much-needed modern Cafe like never before with a unique menu and must-try including the Nigari and the quintessential Sashimi. One can opt to have the finest experience while they wait for their movie to begin or maybe just order in the Cinema. Since I am already full with the Japa Dogs and afternoon tea and of course the mandate Popcorn in the cinema, I come back after shopping to end my day with Chef Saito’s Nigari.
