This Tibetan snack is both healthy and tasty and it has several vegetarian versions of it here in Ahmedabad. Many standalone restaurants serve this sort after dish!

This humble Tibetan snack has travelled from its northern heights right down to many places in the sub-continent. In India, it is popular street food in Delhi, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Dehradun and many cities in the north. Now, you can find this street food in many sophisticated restaurants. It is also much liked and made in Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar. Even Chinese, Korean and other Asian cuisines have their own versions of this stuffed dumpling known by different names in different countries.

The steamed version is healthier and also more popular. You can have any number of fillings in the dumplings but its predominantly stuffed with non-vegetarian mince along with vegetables and spices. The Indian momo version has Indian flavours and since many in India are vegetarians we have lots of vegetarian momo versions available.

In Ahmedabad, momos made a relatively late entry but now they are extremely popular in the city and many restaurants serve different kinds of momos. We have selected different standalone restaurants serving this delicious snack.
