Located nicely at Eros Hotel, Nehru Place, New Delhi, you will find delicious North Indian food prepared by the chefs. Management has tried to capture the royal grandeur of Sikh court. Inspired heavily from era of Maharaja Ranjit Singh the owners have left no stones unturned to impress the patrons. The décor is stunningly beautiful adapted straight from the pages of Punjabi royal family album. Wide open room washed in pale colour and gilded ceiling dotted with huge crystal chandeliers makes a lovely sight. You will be awestruck in all this fabulous ambience.
Menu of Singh Sahib is North Indian prepared to bring authenticity to the guest’s table. In earlier days the restaurant’s menu was adapted from the royal cuisine of the era. But keeping the modern tastes in mind more up to date menu is set. You will be surprised at the length of the menu, it is exhaustingly long. Woo your palette with mausam da ras, ananas da panna, paya ras, dal shorba, mattha, murgh badam shorba and shikanjvi. For your first course start off with, amritsari macchi, khumb khazana, mardan chaapli kebab, tandoori ananas anardana, jalandhari seekh, paneer subz tikka, chaampein, tandoori hare phool, raan peshawari, potohari challi kebab, kasuri murgh tikka and chargah. The mains are a wonderful selection of dahiwala jheenga, sarron da saag, patiyala shahi chicken curry, kulcha kalahrhi, nalli gosht, dhingri kofta, dhaba meat, paneer bhurji, makhani murgh, bharwan gucchi, murgh teen mirch and Punjabi kadhi pakori.
To pair up your delicious curries murgh pulao, khasta/missi/plain/Makai/roomali roti, keema kulcha, subziyan da pulao, peshawari naan, laccha paratha, amritsari kulcha and makhani naan are available. Final and sweet course is royal and delicious. Go for bharwan gulab jamun, kulfi falooda, khumani di rabri, ananas di jalebi and pista kesar phirni. Each dish is prepared authentically by the talented chefs. Beverages like alcoholic tea/coffee, scotch, champagne and wines are on the bar menu so choose away to pair your meal. Singh Sahib is expensive and pricey but that’s fair for a royal trip to Punjab.
