About Pintxo, DLF Phase 4, Gurgaon
Spanish culture is vibrant, colourful, spicy, alive and jam packed with awesome flavours. I for one love Spanish food and everything realted to it. So I made it my business to visit Pintxo at DLF phase-4, Gurgaon. There is only one word that defines the restaurant and that is Superb. Airy and flooded with light the restaurant is tastefully decorated. The big picture windows overlooks green patch and chandeliers from the ceiling infuse class to the place. Comfortable and smart the furniture is elegant. Presentation of food is done with a fine hand and the ingredients look so delectable on the plate that your mouth waters just by looking at it. The colours of the products used shouts from the platter beckoning to eat a mouthful. The place is small but chef Sushmit Daniels have elevated the stature with his cooking skills and his talent of taking a simple ingredient and turning it into a dish worthy of a king.
The menu as I said before caters Spanish cuisine. The beauty of the food lies in the freshness of the ingredients and how they are executed. The menu opens with soups like gazpacho Andalusian style and salads like orange & fennel salad. The sandwich filing has influences of American favourites. Pulled pork, open club sandwich, BBQ chicken and roast beef. But tapas are where you get down to business. Fried calamari with romesco sauce, prawn wrapped with bacon, fish fillet stuffed rolls, crispy fried fish, chicken meatballs in tomato sauce and the Spanish legendary ceviche. If your palette demands Italian not Spanish then pastas are served too. Paella is the staple of Spanish households so don’t miss out on that. The mains have multiple protein options. Chickpea and pepper stew, beef stew, Belgian pork chops, Norwegian salmon in watermelon curry, fish stew and chicken roll stuffed with figs on tangy sauce. They list sounds delicious na?
The desserts section doesn’t cover churros but don’t be disappointed as Pintxo serves flan, poached pear in vanilla ice cream, chocolate mousse, apple pie and classic tiramisu. To cool down between shopping sprees sip on sangria or mojito. Pintxo is a polpular place with its very reasonable prices and great food so don’t even think about dropping in without reservation. You don’t want to walk away from Spanish gala due to lack of forward thinking. Pintxo is a place to break bread with family and friends. Enjoy it!
