New Delhi is fortunate enough to be home to several quaint bistros and cafes where you can sit with your laptop or a book for hours. If you too are looking for a place like this then drive down to a lovely bistro called ‘Perch Wine & Coffee Bar’. After its success at Khan Market, the bistro opened another outlet at Priya Complex, Vasant Vihar in South Delhi. Being located in a lush green pocket the bistro gets a gorgeous backdrop of foliage. This is the perfect place for a lazy brunch with your girlfriends. The atmosphere is just right for it.
Perch Wine & Coffee Bar is one of the few eateries to open really early in the morning. Foodies come through their doorway the moment they open in hope for a hearty breakfast. Those who are feeling adventurous can enjoy coffee sangria as a startup, if not stick with house cocktails. Menu is European; have a wonderful time wading through it. As first course the chef serves, apple & walnut salad, maple glazed Chilean pork ribs, cassava chips, pan-tossed chili calamari & shrimp, mustard grilled chicken, pesto arancini balls, pork scotch eggs, crispy lotus stem in mustard caramel, chorizo pancetta & pork sausages and chicken croquettes. After whetting your appetite with these scrumptious nibbles dig into, spinach gnocchi, seafood barley, grilled haloumi, shepherd’s pie, wild mushroom casserole, tenderloin medallion, rosemary baked camembert, grilled pork sausage and pan seared tilapia with sauce vierge.
If you think surprises are over for the evening than take a look at their tantalizing dessert range. Polish off, salted honey semi-fredo, truffle scented crème brulee, banana sponge with honeycomb ice cream and kahlua chocolate tart. Soft live music in evenings take the ambience to another level. Perch Wine & Coffee Bar is not exactly cheap so keep that tit-bit in mind before you hit it. However, we promise you, food is amazing and ambience is even better. You would be impressed to see Perch Wine & Coffee Bar for the first time. Take in the glass wrapped dining room flooded with sunlight making the pale whitewashed room seem all the more airy. Pale wooden furniture is chosen to keep the atmosphere light and eye soothing.
- Food wise, Perch does a mean 'Shakshuka', with plenty of roasted tomatoes and peppers topped with a beautifully poached egg as well as the 'Breakfast Burrito' which is barely ever found in Delhi
