We too have a revolving restaurant right on our doorstep. It is said to be one of the fanciest places in the city to dine. Ambience is top notch and food is heart-warming even if expensive. A legendary place to dine, Parikrama revels in its exclusivity. It is the only revolving restaurant in the city that offers its diners a magnificent view of the city with their meal, so its popularity doesn’t come as much of a surprise. It is wise however to book the table in advance, as there is always a waiting list. The interiors of Parikrama is done in a tasteful manner, with soft tones being used to elevate the airiness of the room. The room is in the circular shape and generously spaced, flanked by a row of large picture windows displaying a panoramic view. Soft pastel shades are used in the furnishings, which is both elegant and formal in appearance. If you are interested in organizing a party, let them know in advance.
Food at Parikrama is entirely satisfactory. The menu dabbles in North-Indian, Chinese and Mughlai cuisine excellently and manages to impress the diners with its food as well as ambience. Variety is quite lavish, brimming with classics and some unusual delicacies too to take your taste buds on a joyride. Foray into the menu beginning with, smoked cheese cigars, lumpia, ebi tempura, sabz seekh banarasi, laksa, bruschetta, golden fried prawns, sikandari raan and murg tikka reshmi. Follow that up with, murg pasandey “Parikrama”, chilli chicken schezwan, pizza, fish curry, pasta, burgers, Thai curry, sweet & sour fish, mushroom do pyaza and rahra gosht Punjabi. Conclude with a peach cardinal, gulab jamun, litchees with ice-cream and kesar pista kulfi.
