New Delhi is turning a new leaf, unfurling to become a better version of itself by going through a facelift of sorts. Several rundown streets have gained the attention of the restauranteurs and in turn are transforming themselves into a technicoloured version of their original selves. One of the most successful transformations in the history of Delhi has to be with Hauz Khas Village in South Delhi. What used to be a tree-lined road with handful of boutiques on the end is now the city’s favourite gourmet destination. Hauz Khas Village today is home to numerous trendy pubs and stunning eateries with unique concepts to lure punters in. One of the most frequented spots in the village is ‘Lord of the Drinks Meadow’, a popular happening watering hole favoured by the tipplers.
Although every decent pub in the city keeps an awesome booze selection, at Lord of the Drinks Meadow you will find it to be excellent. Mixologist surpasses himself by whipping up for you an array of potent cocktails but if you desire for something stronger than take a dip into the bar’s liquor section. Everything from beer to rum to scotch to wine is up for grabs. On the side nibble on a range of appetizers chosen from Lord of the Drinks Meadow’s multi-cuisine menu. Tuck into, Thai munchy rolls, crispy prawn styx, rosemary crusted aloo chaat, spinach & pakchoi dim sum, Thai ginger fiery chicken balls, khati calamari, Meadow duets kebab, mutton galouti and falafel tahini. For a more substantial fare eat, lasoni chicken sandwich, pepper chilli limed grilled river sole, butter chicken sliders, Spanish pizza, tawa meat tacos and China bento box.
To pamper your sweet tooth the pub offers, ice cream martini, caramel & chocolate love affair, deconstructed tiramisu, banoffee cigar rolls honey sesame and Lord of nutty chocolate brownie fudge. The menu of Lord of the Drinks Meadow is quite extensive. Do give their fusion food a chance. The interiors of the pub is constant source of attraction for the punters. Ensconced in lush greenery of deer park, the interiors of the pub more and such resembles a log cabin. Heavy wooden furnishings gleam under yellow lights while weathered leather chairs and sofas are added to lend that jungle cottage appeal. Huge plate glass windows looks at the dense park surrounding the pub but if you want an up-close view then sit outdoors. This a truly wonderful, even if a little expensive, place to drink.
