It may seem like it but ‘Level 2’ at Radisson Blu, Pachim Vihar, New Delhi, is not just a coffee shop. Instead it is a melting pot of various cuisines derived from all over the world. It revels in its fantastic location and gets its fair share of regulars who flock the scene for deliciously prepared food. The interiors are snazzy and contemporary in outlook. Shiny metallic plating is used prominently to give a rich and glittery feel. You can’t help but admire the décor which transports you to a shiny world of grandeur. The furnishings are smart and edgy mostly done in black and white theme with burst of red as accent colour. This coffee shop is very popular with the residing guests and locals equally. The interesting name the shop gets from is simply because it is on the second floor of the hotel.
The coffee shop displays lavish buffets at meal times but you can take full advantage of their a la carte menu which includes various cuisines. It opens its doors early morning and serves 24/7 to its customers. The menu starts with the breakfast section which includes dosa, pancakes, eggs, upma, poha, poori and paratha. Appetizers like crab dim sum, agra chaat, vegetable spring rolls, nimbu murgh tikka, Makai methi ki tikki, three bean soup, mushroom cappuccino, chicken greek salad, tandoori kukkad, achari mirch paneer tikka, thyme scented chicken soup, chilli paneer, grilled fish with olive oil sautéed vegetables and bharwan chatpati khumb, makes delicious kick start to the meal. For second course mains like crusted salmon steak, aubergine parmigiana, jheenga masala, murgh makhanwala, cannelloni tubes, baked zucchini, tenderloin steak, lamb in red thai curry, ajwaini subzi, assorted greens in schezwan sauce, dal makhani and khubani ka kofta will taste divine.
Thin crust pizzas and sizzlers are on the menu too. Sweet and final course includes pistachio and red velvet pastry, raspberry lemon pie, baked bitter chocolate and date cake, fruit platter, tiramisu, coconut roulade, paan kulfi and kesar rasmalai. The kids will not be disappointed as they have their own separate menu. The staff is attentive and friendly. Prompt service will add to the experience of dining at Level 2. To drink the restaurant serves coffee, tea, juices, milkshake, smoothie, lassi and fresh lime soda/water. Dining at Level 2 is slightly expensive but the wonderful experience more than makes up for it.
