When you smell a curry, you know you have come home. That’s how every average Indian feels. The aroma of spices and the distinct stereotypical smell of a curry bubbling away in a pot defines home in a nutshell. Maybe that is why we feel so homely when we open a door of an Indian restaurant. The lively ambience and the spicy aroma just hits you and drags you back to your home. Delhi NCR is simply overflowing with North Indian restaurants of all kinds. Some humble and some outright fancy. Our aim is to add to that collection by introducing to you to our favorite Indian restaurant of all times, ‘Lazeez Affaire’. This popular chain of restaurants has taken over the fine dining scene of Delhi and has several outlets all over the map, including in Outer Circle, Connaught Place.
Lazeez Affaire is a place where they serve delectable curries in a grand opulent setting. Their sole focus lies foremost on curries. The chef has created a menu combining the two major loves of Indian palate, North Indian and Mughlai. If you want to wine and dine someone in style and show them Indian hospitality, bring them to Lazeez Affaire. Opt for their buffet for a more lavish spread. Pick a nice mango cooler or a boozy cocktail from their bar menu to marry your meal. Throw few starters alongside to get the evening rolling. However, save your appetite for the main event – curries. Best of the lot are, mirchi Makai ka salan, lahori murg masala, subzi khada masala, keema mutter, soya chaap, bhuna gosht, banarsi dum aloo, mutton tikka masala and fish curry.
Opt for some Indian staples to polish off those curries. Missi roti, hari mirchi parantha, mutter pulao, khasta roti and gosht biryani would be fabulously. No Indian meal is complete without amazing drool-worthy rich desserts. Lazeez Affaire does, butter gulkand brioche, walnut brownie burfi, mawa cake, aam rasa cheesecake, baked rasgulla, phirni and chocolate panacotta. The chic sophistication of Lazeez Affaire takes you by surprise the moment you step into their doorway. The smart stylish furniture complements the great glass wall that reflects the glow thrown by the chandelier and makes it look even more spacious. The ambience is fancy, upmarket and stylish. It may be a tad heavy on pockets but the end game would be truly memorable.
