Golf Course Road is an address to some of the most popular names in the restaurant industry and is crammed with trendiest lively places on both side of the road. After the buzzing Cyber Hub, Golf Course Road is the second most sought after dining destination in Gurgaon city and rightfully so. No longer do you have to struggle to find an appropriate dining spot for the evening for yourself, rather drive down to the road and simply indulge your whims by picking ‘Impromptu’. Like its name the restaurant tries to give you a chance to be the chef by asking you to pair of two crowd-pleasing dishes into one. Their menu style is enchanting and so is their ambience which is a huge crowd-puller. The place is known for its romantic outdoor spaces and an innovative lavish buffet spread.
Food wise you get to savour flavours of Mediterranean, South-East Asian, South American and Indian. Their concept of being your own chef by designing your own buffet allows you to marry best of the dishes together such as ‘spaghetti with butter chicken’, ‘stir fried vegetables in garlic sauce’ and ‘penne in kung pao sauce’. Their menu is eclectic and refreshingly adventurous to keep you hooked. Even if expensive, Impromptu is a flavour-trip worth taking. Start with, shish taouk, crispy prawns, haryali seekh, spinach & cheese cigar rolls, paneer tikka, fish in crumb, Taipei style chicken, Jamaican chicken brochettes and grilled chipolata. Explore further with main like, bhuna gosht, Syrian beef, chicken 65 bunny chow, exotic vegetables in green chilli soya sauce, naga chilli pork, morrocon fish, soya keema pav, pasta in massaman curry, fat Brazilian burger and pizzas.
Spoil your sweet tooth silly with bong payesh, avatar, surreal sago, sticky date and mad about chocolate. Ambience wise you have to see Impromptu to believe it. In a modern European villa like structure Impromptu brings outdoor in through tall panels of glass and wall of bamboo peeking in. Dining at Impromptu is like dining in a lovely modern conservatory flooded in sunshine and wrapped in a foliage of lush greenery. Furnishings are casual and cosy. The idea is to relax you and give you a chance to dine in a charming al fresco setting. Impromptu is pricey but exquisite.
