Dining at multi-cuisine restaurants often saves us a lot of trouble. First of all, to be able to enjoy a lavish feast of different cuisines on one table is a luxury in itself. Second, the variety of delicacies. You get to travel the world gastronomically without changing the table. We like our options! We like the fact that at multi-cuisine restaurants one gets to dabble in various kinds of fare and can go as exotic as we want. The pleasure of dining multiplies when one is offered so many choices prepared well. From décor to menu to service, everything is flawless.
Let’s talk about the location first. The Square is encased firmly on the first floor of very swanky Novotel Hotels in Egatoor. This group of hotels are fairly modern in approach than its fellow counterparts. They have really only extended the elegance and modernity of the hotel to the restaurant. First off what hits you instantly is the inviting wooden finish that seems to be such a rage in all the five star restaurants and the space. They have provided space generously. The service counter is backed by a tiled blue wall that adds a much desired pop of colour to the scene. The space is brightly lit and comfortably furnished with lightweight furniture. Everything is chic, modern and quite stylish.
The restaurant is operational all day long and opens its doors quite early in the day so one can stop by for a hearty breakfast before heading to work. While it may cost a bundle, the result is satisfactory. Menu comprises of European, North-Indian and Chinese cuisines. Breakfast section is lavish and heady with multiple combos. But if its appetizers you are looking for, start with bruschetta, sous-vide chicken wings, golden fried calamari, crystal dumplings, bharwan khumb, macchli ajwani tikka, red bean empanadas and baby pork ribs.
