Kababs, a delicacy so wonderful that by just hearing its name can evoke mouth-watering fantasies. This ancient appetizer is a gift to us by Mughals who created this recipe in royal kitchens of Nawabs. There must be hundreds of ways to make kababs and many restaurants have taken it upon themselves to recreate this perfect dish in their own way. Kababs have found a way to be in our menu no matter what city it is in. Although it’s a northern delicacy, it is equally famous in Southern India. In Chennai specially, many chefs have chosen to include multiple kinds of kababs in in menu and some have even played with it to reinvent it. One of the few establishments that have bought back kebabs to life is ‘The Great Kabab Factory’. This wonderful restaurant is entirely focused on one dish and revolves its entire menu around it.
You will find the restaurant a part of Radisson Blu hotel in Egmore area. Being part of such an affluent hotel chain, you kind of take the elegance for granted. The Great Kabab Factory is everything you expect out of a fine dining restaurant. It is classy and designed in a manner to reflect the Indian heritage. The décor is quite striking with attractive edgy looking lamps. Their playful colours add a fun element to the scene. Rest of the room is done in warm colour palette of brown, red and orange. The room carries a white wall interior set off by exposed brick pillars that breaks the room. Furniture is lightweight and not very stylish but overall you don’t really feel neglected in anyway. The Great Kabab Factory is traditional, elegant and striking.
Coming to the best part – the food. Menu caters North-Indian, Afghani and Mughlai cuisine to the diners. Take advantage of their buffet meals and feast as much as you want on kababs.
