- Embrace has been in India for the past two decades, and her family is a prominent noodle maker in Malaysia. The restaurant’s speciality is a kind of ramen (some of them have no broth) made with springy (no alkali added) custom-made noodles, which are sautéed in sauce and served with meat/vegetables. The zestful Korean Kimchi Seafood Ramen is a great sampler
- The menu (which is presented as a slam book) is a smattering of Malay, Korean, Chinese and Japanese dishes. Seafood is fresh and everything has a non-restaurant-ey aftertaste. If you are dining in pairs, then get the fresh Mud Crab in Plum sauce and wipe it clean with Bao. This is also probably the only place in Chennai to get a Kaya toast with freshly-baked bread
- The quality of pork, imported from Malaysia, is sensational. Hunks of Pork Belly disappeared down my gullet before I could realise. If you thought Sri Lankan or Belgian Pork set the bar in Chennai, then Embrace Misun is certainly worth your time
