Downtown Café carries a predictable menu of Continental and Italian fare that manages to hit the spot just right with its spectacular range of shakes and burgers. The café is affordable in bargain too which is a huge plus. The chef prepares a delicious array of beverages to go with the savoury tit-bits. Start with shrimp basket, stir fried sausage, potato balls, fish finger, crostini, orly prawn, BBQ chicken wings, spring rolls and move on with, burgers, sandwiches, pastas, pizza, crepe, steaks, bakes and lasagne. They do all-day breakfast too for those who like to start their day a little early. Round it off with an assortments of pastries, stuffed crepes and ice-creams, before heading home satisfied.

- Downtown’s mango shake is a huge hit – it is choc-a-block with Baganpalli mangoes. In fact, the biggest draw at Downtown Cafe is its huge glasses of fresh fruit juices, shakes and smoothies
The sandwiches and burgers are a good value. Try the tuna bagel. The bagel itself is more like a doughnut-shaped bun, but fresh tuna sautéed with baby spinach is good enough to eat on its own
The cold coffees and cappuccinos turn out way better than the tempting Turkish coffee. It is missing the body and heady cardamom hit of a proper brew
