Fad of futuristic themes have seem to caught on and finally seeped into the social scene of trendy Bengaluru. Situated in the basement of Quality Inn Shravanthi, ‘Turquoise’ is unlike anything the city has seen before. The bar is one of a kind in its futuristic concept that have pulled the hotel out of shadows. Decorated with fluid shapes and blue techno lighting the bar seems trendy and up-to-date. The furniture is another thing that ties it all together. Egg shaped chairs and cube tables are edgy and contemporary in design. The room is big and equipped with the furnishings well to seat plenty of people at a time. The bar has not yet reached society pages but it has definitely gained the right amount of attention. You can groove to the hip music played by the in-house DJ or you could put up a special request which he would be happy to oblige.
Turquoise is more of a lounge cum bar so it mainly caters to the pub food along with the flowing booze. The bar menu is sophisticated housing all good brands that are expected to be found at any decent bar. The whisky alone have awesome variety with single malts, deluxe, regular and bourbon showcasing mature editions. Brandy, cognac, rum, breezer, vodka, tequila, gin, wines (domestic, international and sparkling) and beers are much appreciated and vastly ordered. The cocktails however takes the centre stage with their fantastic variety and skilled execution. Cocktails like, green eyes (vodka, blue curacao, green apple syrup, sweet & sour), Alaskan ice tea (rum, gin, vodka, blue curacao, sweet & sour), Russian love (vodka/gin martini with dry vermouth), Mexicana (tequila, lemon juice, pineapple juice & grenadine), snake in the grass (gin, Cointreau, dry vermouth with splash of lime) and blood on the sand (whisky, orange juice & grenadine).
Pair the booze with the appetizers such as, boti kebab, paneer kurkure, chicken “65”, corn fed fish, classic bruschetta, spicy meat balls, prawns salt & pepper, hara bara kebab, tandoori fried kebab, crumb fried mushrooms, drums of heaven, chicken tangdi, ajwaini paneer tikka, macchi amritsari, chicken satay, veg seek kebab, spicy cheese ball and corn coated chicken nuggets. Turquoise is not very pricey but will fit your pocket well. A great place to hang out with friends over drinks and party with equally good music.
