The need for pocket-friendly bars in a city like Bengaluru is great. One can’t always drop a bundle each evening they must drink or have a serious chance of staying bankrupt throughout the month. Every time you get together with friends or colleagues for drinks, spending at least 2 grands is an average figure. But to balance the scales the city has some great budget-friendly bars, which not only lets you indulge freely in drinks, also takes care of your pockets while you do. Out there in busy Kalyan Nagar is a fantastic pub that has gained our attention lately, for its cozy intimate vibe and pair of menus to make you drool. Called ‘Rasta Café’, the pub has a nice cheerful ambience created out of foot-tapping music and attractive earthy décor that keeps the punters very happy.
Is a good bar menu accompanied by a decent food menu enough to keep the punters pleased? We say, YES! The pub does a great job of luring in the crowd and keeping them content with an encompassing bar menu and a grub spread that satisfies any hunger pangs you might have left. As Rasta Café opens pretty early in the morning, it also caters to the early birds by putting in front of them a hearty fulfilling breakfast feast. Those dropping in evening could start by choosing a boozy drink for themselves and then move onto the nibbles. They put up a wonderful variety. Main course has much to offer as well. How about trying, Rasta chicken curry, pasta in arrabiata sauce, tex mex vegetable burger, Hawaiian pizza, peri peri chicken sandwich, roasted lamb chops, penne in creamy curry sauce and five pepper pizza.
One can’t get enough of the delicious food they have on offer. Next, polish off some drool-worthy desserts before heading back home. Rasta Café tempts your sweet tooth with, fried ice cream, mocha & praline pastry, death by chocolate and lemon cheese cake. For an affordable bill, you could walk away happy. The ambience of Rasta Café does the place justice. They have kept a very down-to-earth kind of vibe with casual informal furniture and an industrial look to the room. Loads of large plate glass windows are added so that the room is flooded with natural light. A lush green outdoor space is ideal for breezy Bengaluru days.
- Nursing a hangover? Ask for their honey ginger coffee that might just help to fix it
- Rasta also has a limited breakfast menu. It is a regular spread, but not too bad
- If you do not drink, check out their milkshakes. The Oreo milkshake is quite tasty
