Jashn – Daawat by Poolside is a sophisticated restaurant housed in a stunning hotel carving a niche for itself by giving the patrons what they want, delicious food with a charming ambience. The interiors of the restaurant is eye-catching due to generous space made all the more intimidating by the high ceiling. A wrought structure stands proudly on one side of the room like a canopy. If that doesn’t impress you then their cordial staff certainly will. The service provided at Jashn is flawless and friendly.
The food that comes through the kitchen is superb and beautifully prepared. The presentation is paid a lot of attention to, with each plate looking lovely when it reaches your table. The menu of Jashn covers North Indian and Mughlai dishes, capturing their rich heritage exactly. The dishes are authentically prepared and wonderfully executed. Though Jashn is an expensive place it still manages to draw a steady bunch of regulars religiously. Menu has a tremendous range of appetizers covering vegetarian, chicken, seafood and lamb delicacies. You can start your spice journey with, rustom khumb e bahar, murgh sofyani kabab, hussaini lamb chops, mahi hariyali tikka, peshawari tandoori prawns, tandoori hari gobi, takshali boti kabab, murgh kabab mumtazi, samundar ki jalpari, maans ke dhuvandaar kabab, murgh charga lahori, tandoori lobster, seekh kebab kangari and murgh badami kabab. The appetizers are succulent and marinated in lovely spices.
You can pair these juicy appetizers with a basket of flaky warm flatbreads. Some of the flatbreads served here are unheard of like, taftan (leavened bread with saffron and cardamom), bakarkhani (flat bread) and peshawari nan (flat bread topped with dry fruits and nuts). Their dal bharuchi is cooked with complex flavours and pairs perfectly with your naans. Many come to Jashn to dine on this lavish fare by the pool side. The ambience certainly elevates the evening.
