Tap on the hidden culinary reserves of Bengaluru city by wading through the charming all-day dining eateries. We believe them to be the best of what fine dining in any city has to offer as their menus are much more varied and crafted to pacify the palates of a diverse clientele. If you are choosy like us and prefer a plethora of choices at your fingertips then all-day dining eateries are your best bet. Bengaluru has several great all-day dining places nestled in its green pockets but one name seems to grab our attention. The name ‘Ithaca’ hints at affluence and grandeur, both of which is evident in its menu plus décor abundantly. Part of posh Chancery Pavillion at Residency Road, Bengaluru, Ithaca is the name of their 24 hours coffee shop.
Like any other 24X7 hotel coffee shop, Ithaca too keeps a lavish international menu to suit the well-travelled palates of its patrons. Their buffet spreads are to die for and are a hit with the regulars. Keep an eye open for them! Start your day with their breakfast or stop by in the evening for a delightful three course meal. Dig into Ithaca’s multicuisine menu thoroughly starting with the appetizers like, shrimp bisque, khumb tikka, bruschetta, smoked salmon rose with dill sour cream, murgh lasooni tikka, tarragon fish goujons, dal nariyal ka shorba, ronak-e-sheek, corn coated chicken nuggets, tomato buffalo mozzarella salad, paneer pudhina ke tikka, crispy water chestnuts and chicken satay. Second course entails, tuna focaccia, romana pizza, risotto porcini mushroom, Norwegian salmon steak, broccoli Quattro formaggio tart, paneer makhni, Moroccan lamb skewers, chilly coriander chicken and pommery mango butter rock lobster.
Wrap up the meal with some of Ithaca’s mouth-watering scrumptious desserts. Polish off, rasmalai, banana banoffee pie, pannacotta, chocolate mousse, fresh apple tart, lemon semifredo and chocolate with fudge sauce. The desserts may be the usual suspects which you see in other fine dining establishments but leaves you well satisfied. Ithaca is encased in a beautifully furnished gigantically spacious room overlooking the pool. A wall of floor to ceiling seamless glass plate windows peeks onto the glowing pool, giving the patrons an amazing view. The décor is plush, affluent and screams grandeur. Seating is formal and yet cosy. Within eight hundred bucks one can dine lavishly along with a friend.
- Basa lovers rejoice – they make fish n’ chips with basa here
- For curry and rice, the rogan josh (not sure how Kashmiri it is though) and rice is a good bet
- Their Sunday brunch usually includes about 20 varieties of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, among other things. Yes, that is a lot of food
