One is recommended to try to experience Bengaluru through its nightlife, which is both vivacious and thrilling. The city stuns one through its versatile night scene that encompasses some very lively pubs crawling all over Bengaluru, each one exceptional in its own right. Sarjapur Road is a trendy vicinity that is home to several funky bars, stylish microbreweries and fancy restaurants but out of all, our attention is held by one spot, which is quite appealing in ambience. Tucked on this busy route is an exhilarating microbrewery ‘HOOT – Café & Brewery’, very sought after by the bar-hoppers of the city. It is an excellent place to taste the pulsating nightlife of Bengaluru, especially when one is looking for an energetic background to kick-start the night. You will find the brewery sprawled at Kaikondrahalli in Block 2.
A good bar menu is the heart and soul of any decent brewery. Besides their usual house-crafted brews a tippler should have the time of his life wading through the booze selection on offer. At HOOT you can set your doubts aside and try whatever is on tap. Pair it off with few choicest appetizers from HOOT’s wonderful multi-cuisine menu. Share amongst your friends HOOT special nachos, fried baby corn chilly plum, Pattaya fish, spicy lemon basil chicken, nam prik lamb, Cajun meal ball, dim sums, Bhatti ka paneer tikka and teriyaki chicken. You won’t run out of options here, there is just so much variety. HOOT’s main course includes, ma-po tofu, great wall prawns, mutton rogan josh, black forest burger, spaghetti arrabitta, bacon & onion pizza, fiery Indonesian prawn curry and murgh dum masala.
HOOT’s dessert menu is a shot of chocolate overdose. Coco lover can have a sinful time indulging in a variety of chocolate desserts and then some. Oreo cheesecake, Nutella banana toasty, marble chocolate slice cake, chocolate & old monk mousse, molten choco blast and, to clean your palate, classic Italian tiramisu. Ambience is one thing in which HOOT excel at. HOOT is a stunning pool-side restaurant where instead of one big pool, several small pools are created to break up the outdoor space. Tables are then added besides each pool so each diner has the luxury of dining poolside. Best time to visit HOOT is in the evening when the whole place is washed in lights and hi-tech sounds. The place is only marginally pricey, which is a relief.
- Reaching at the sundowner hour is a good idea. The 40,000sqft of largely open space gives you the best of Bangalore’s legendary weather (Well! At least on most occasions)
- The Chef’s Special Nasi Goreng is fiery and is a good choice if you have Asian leanings
- The Indian food selection is massive and the biryani here is a fabulous choice
