Microbreweries are the new ‘it’ drinking places. The flood of freshly popped brew talent on the market is the testament to that fact. It’s the misconception that microbreweries is all about beer. Yes, beer is what they are known for but a non-beer drinker could feel right at home at any microbrewery with a glass of scotch. A brew connoisseur, however, will have much more fun diving into the fabulous brewery pool of Bengaluru. The city has some amazing microbreweries and one of the popular names is ‘Brewklyn’. This is where most action is for beer drinkers. Giving the twist to the famous American city, Brooklyn, Brewklyn maintains the same trendy outlook as the city. The microbrewery is located on the 4th Floor of B.R. Plaza, 4th Cross, CMR Road, Kalyan Nagar.
The first thing you do after waltzing into Brewklyn is to order whatever is on tap. They usually have 5-6 brews on tap. Their seasonal beers are especially sought after, especially the summer mango beer, which we simply love. Go for a sampler to taste the beers before placing your order for a pint. An exciting eclectic grub menu complements the brews beautifully. The delicious spicy nibbles go down wonderfully with the beer. Try, cheese & paneer cigar, tawa lamb, stuffed mushroom, BBQ wings, pork chili cilantro, Malabari beef, hung kebab, fish in black pepper sauce and bacon wrapped prawns. Tuck in deeper with, red Thai curry, stuffed beef steak, farmhouse pizza, vegetable coastal curry, fish & chips, oriental noodles, daba ghosh, biryani, stuffed chicken breast, pan seared tenderloin, lamb burger and chicken pasta.
Throw your diet chart away and pick up your spoon to polish off a selection of luscious desserts. Enjoy a mouthful of, apple pie, chocolate fondant, strawberry chocolate tarts with vanilla ice cream, cheese cake and pumpkin pie. Drag your friends to the foosball table and challenge them to a rambunctious match. The interiors of Brewklyn has an earthy industrial appeal to it. Exposed brick walls, bare ceiling, sturdy wooden picnic tables, low ambient lighting, vibrant murals and an intense masculine vibe, sums up Brewklyn for you. It’s a great watering hole for friends to garb a beer after work or enjoy a lively game with pals on game night. When the music gets too loud, step onto their rooftop for a breather. For a moderately pricey bill, you can have a gala time drinking at Brewklyn.
